Before debuting as a member of WEI, Kim Jun-seo used to be a contestant of Under 19, which is a survival show that was aired on MBC for some trainees under the age of 19 years old. In Under 19, Kim Jun-seo was one of the contestants from OUI Entertainment who made it to the final episode, namely Episode 14, in the ninth position with a total of 321,288 votes. On February 9th, 2019, MBC’s survival show Under 19 aired its final episode. In that episode, the MC announced that the name of the debut group which has 9 members is 1THE9.
